SCM 6301 (3-3-0) Global Supply Chain Management
Supply Chain Management (SCM) encompasses the planning and management of all activities related to supply chain including sourcing, procurement, supply channels, design, optimization, demand forecasting, sales and operations planning (S&OP) supply chain trends and sustainability. Global Supply Chain Management integrates supply and demand management within domestic and global organizations. This course covers SCM concepts, strategies, processes, and management of lean production and Six Sigma quality issues, integration, tools, and technologies applied. Students will examine risk management, project management, quality management, cyber security, and ethical considerations.

SCM 6320 (3-3-0) Logistics Management
Procurement focuses on purchasing, sourcing management, and supply management. Maintaining successful relationships with customers and/or suppliers involves an understanding of the philosophy, methodology, and tools for improved demand management, customer service, and alignment of resources. Today’s global environment demands strategies beyond traditional geographical boundaries. Collaboration and coordination using communication technologies for the design, creation, manufacture, and transportation of products expands beyond time zones. Differentials in wage-rates, expanding markets, seamless logistics, transportation and logistics are studied in this course. This course examines in depth transport management for international trade, including multi-modal transportation, air freight, ocean freight, and road transportation, packaging and document preparation required for transportation both offshore and onshore.

SCM 6325 (3-3-0) Warehouse Operations
A study of general warehouse definition, management, and operations focusing on facility layout, financial analysis, labor relations, productivity improvement and measurement, warehouse management systems, and the impact of corporate and industry strategies on warehouse operations.
Requisites: MANA 6357, MANA 6372.

SCM 6330 (3-3-0) Supply Chain Operations
Warehouse, Operations, and Distribution Management examines the design and analysis of people, processes, and technology systems. The key aspects of warehousing, operations, distribution, and material handling are applied. Topics include the role of warehouse, planning, process design, layout, equipment selection, workforce and workplace issues, performance measures, inventory control, material processing, forecasting supply needs, and distribution management.
Requisites: MANA 51.521 or undergraduate equivalent.

SCM 6340 (3-3-0) Transportation Management
This course examines issues and strategies in transportation management and policy; emphasis on study of modes of transportation, intermodal and international transportation, capacity management, competitive relations between modes; aspects of carrier management.

SCM 6350 (3-3-0) Supply Chain Capstone
Supply Chain Capstone uses simulations to aid students in developing superior supply chain strategy. Students will consider security risks, procurement considerations, customer requirements, and problem statements, among other factors, while making decisions as the lead manager of a supply chain.
